OUR STORY

Norlee Group (NLG) began with the vision of Wally Budgell, beginning his career in electrical contracting with optimistic business goals. He worked in various positions within the industry gaining knowledge from each role that has helped develop holistic development strategies. When the time was right, he acquired the first company, Robertson Bright Inc., in 2010. In 2016, Wally ventured out to new beginnings and purchased Pacific Power & Systems (PPS) in California. Over the next few years, the company continued to grow under his leadership due to implantation of firsthand best practices that he had learned. The philosophy is simple, always put the client’s needs first, knowing that broadening the company’s capabilities and offerings would cultivate deeper relationships within the industry, cut overall costs and strengthen the reputation as a full-service provider. The plan to expand the services and geographical work base in key markets led to the conception of NLG in 2021.

Today, NLG is the owner and operator of several noteworthy companies. We are a privately held, fast-growing group of companies in the South with plans to continue to expand. Our portfolio includes AEC Electrical Contractors, Adkins Electric, Colwill Enterprises, Millennium Electric, and Tietjen CET Technologies. Each company in our portfolio has a unique skillset and client base which allows us the ability to cross-sell our services while continuing to strengthen the relationships they trust.
