Each member of our leadership team has been carefully appointed because of their comprehensive background and knowledge within the construction industry, acquisitions, investment and relations, employee relations, business development and/or strategic growth through forecasting and finance. It takes a village to fulfill these key components of our robust business strategy and growth plan. We are proud to work alongside this invaluable team.

Wally Budgell, CEO
Wally is an experienced business leader and innovator in the industry. Throughout his career, Wally embraced various positions, honing a comprehensive understanding of the industry. In 2010, Wally acquired his first company, RBI and began his tenure as President & CEO. In 2021 Wally founded Norlee Group (NLG). NLG strives to provide best-in-class specialty electrical, mechanical, technology contracting, and engineering service solutions to owners, developers, architects and general contractors. Wally has extensive expertise in long-term business planning, new business development, private acquisitions, key account management, operational management and financial oversight.
Michael Beaver
Michael Beaver, CFO

Prior to joining Norlee Group (NLG) in June 2022, Michael was a managing director at Riveron (previously Conway MacKenzie), holding several C-suite positions as a consultant, where Michael utilized his industry knowledge in finance to bring pivotal contributions to each of his various roles. He has extensive experience specializing in liquidity management, financial modeling, strategic acquisition planning, forecasting, and budget management for the engineering and construction industries. As CFO at NLG, Michael is responsible for financial affairs, growth and development while executing a strategic plan to grow the overall business. His valuable contributions have made him an asset to the team.

Don Dixon
Don Dixon, Vice President of Operations

Don is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. He has held leadership roles at various contracting companies including: ArchKey Solutions, Prime Electric, AMS Electric, and Rosendin Electric. He has unbridled skills in Design Management, Project Estimation, Feasibility Studies, and Lean Construction. At Norlee Group (NLG), Don is key player in our senior leadership team utilizing his full understanding of each component in the industry from conceptual design, budgeting, to final construction documents, project completion & turnover to owner.

Melinda Caragan
Melinda Caragan, Vice President of Human Resources

Melinda is an experienced Human Resources professional with proven skills in all areas of human resources, including talent strategy and acquisition, employee engagement and culture, labor and employment law, as well as learning and development. Prior to joining Norlee Group (NLG), she held senior positions at high-growth health technology companies, including TigerConnect and Critical Alert, where she supported global teams. Melinda holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources from Columbia Southern University. Since joining NLG, Melinda has developed a human resources structure and strategy to support NLG initiatives, implementing best practices for all functional aspects of employee relations.

Shawn Bussey
Shawn Bussey, Vice President of Integration

Shawn has over 30 years of experience in leadership roles at various levels within the building trades industry. He previously worked with Wally at Robertson Bright Inc., where he was part of the integration team. Prior to joining Norlee Group (NLG), Shawn held Vice President roles at Robertson Bright Inc., PGC and Dexterra. He is a seasoned member of the team bringing his vast knowledge and development in acquisitions and integration projects. Shawn plays a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of all processes and strategies for any newly acquired company.

Muqaddas Bamne
Muqaddas Bamne, Vice President of Information Technology

Muqaddas is an experienced IT professional with a background in cybersecurity and network engineering. Holding a bachelor’s degree from Brock University and various networking and cybersecurity certifications, including CISSP, brings valuable expertise to the team. At Norlee Group (NLG), he oversees technology strategy, IT infrastructure security, and the transition to a private cloud environment. Bringing the in-depth knowledge gained throughout his career in telecommunications and banking at Shaw Direct, CIBC and RBI, Muqaddas seamlessly manages the integration of acquisitions and create tailored solutions to enhance operations. He ensures robust and efficient IT solutions while driving innovation, maintaining high-security standards, and supporting overall business growth.

Nicole Calabria
Nicole Calabria, Director of Marketing

Nicole is a multi-talented marketing communications professional with extensive creative leadership experience who is accustomed to devising and executing highly persuasive, multi-channel campaigns. She has an extensive background in brand identity with proven success in providing strategic direction and guidance to deliver innovative solutions that build awareness. Her career has been marked by significant achievements in previous key roles and is a winner of The IHA Global Innovation Award in Design Excellence. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College along with 20 years of area expertise, bringing vital insight to Norlee Group (NLG). At NLG Nicole leads the development and execution of corporate marketing initiatives while overseeing brand synergy throughout the portfolio of companies. Her creative approach and passion for marketing make her an asset to the NLG business development team.

Robert Reichard
Robert Reichard, Corporate Fleet Manager

Robert has a well-rounded background in Fleet Management, At NLG, Robert works closely with the senior leadership of all business units to oversee the creation and implementation of safety strategies and fleet maintenance schedules. Achieving the optimal lifespan and minimizing cost of ownership through proper maintenance. Managing the entire lifecycle of the fleet from purchase to disposition, to provide and maintain the appropriate fleet needed for the business units to operate successfully.
