NLG + Jacksonville Icemen Experience Day at Grove Park Elementary
This week, our Norlee Group team had an incredible time partnering with the Jacksonville Icemen to bring Icemen Experience Day to Grove Park Elementary.
Students enjoyed a day filled with creativity and hands-on activity, including coloring pictures of their favorite hockey players, collecting autographs (some of which found their way onto hands and arms), and participating in warmups, hockey drills, and a spirited game of street hockey alongside the Icemen themselves. Several members of the NLG team joined in the fun, including our CEO, Wally, who bravely stepped in as goalie. The day concluded with lunch, and each student received an NLG-branded hard hat and reusable ice pack to help stay cool as summer approaches.
With the support of the Zawyer Sports Foundation, we are grateful for the opportunity to help create meaningful moments like these for the students of Grove Park Elementary, many of whom may not otherwise have access to sports like ice hockey.
The Zawyer Sports Foundation is dedicated to expanding access to sports for children facing developmental differences or financial barriers through philanthropic events and game-day initiatives. The foundation is part of Zawyer Sports & Entertainment, which owns and operates the Jacksonville Icemen, along with additional teams in Savannah, GA; Charlotte, NC; Stateline, NV; and more. Supporting the communities where we live and work remains a core value of Norlee Group, and we are proud to be part of efforts that encourage active, confident, and engaged young individuals.
A big thank you to the Jacksonville Icemen for making this day so special and for inspiring the next generation both on and off the ice!
